We are really pleased to be working with Mitch on various dates around London and Essex this early part of the year. Come along to one of our show hear the band and Mitch perform their salute to Sinatra & the other great singers of the American Song Book. We are playing with Mitch at The Polish Jazz Cafe in Hammersmith on Sat Feb 25th & on Sun 4th March at The Prince Regent Hotel, Chigwell, Essex.

The Jolly Boys Day Out…..The Denmark Street Big Band line up outside its London HQ at Sax.Co.Uk. The band are about to board its tour bus down to sunny Tauton to perform at wedding.

Ray Gelato with The Denmark Street Big Band

The amazing Ray Gelato performed recently with the Denmark Street Big Band at The Spice of Life in Soho, London.

The band played a Count Basie Tribute show that featured Ray playing sax and singing classic Basie and Joe Williams numbers.

Matt Monro Jr sings with the band

The band recently has had the pleasure of working with Matt Monro Jnr.

Dave Koz with The Denmark Street Big Band

Six-times Grammy-nominated sax player Dave Koz has been on tour in the UK and sat in with the Denmark Street Big Band while he was in London.

Dave sat in on the Lead Alto chair with his trusty silver Yamaha 62 alto sax and played a variety songs including classic Count Basie and Sammy Nestico charts with the band. We also played a few big band arrangements of songs that Dave recorded on his hit album “At The Movies” including Moon River and Over The Rainbow. The band were honoured to have this amazing musician come and play with us and to see him play with a big band was a very rare treat.

Dave was immortalised with a star on the Hollywood Boulevard ‘Walk of Fame’ last year and he is also a Yamaha Performing Artist. If you want to catch Dave playing live with his band check out Jimi King at SkyFM website as Jimi brings over some of the very best Smooth Jazz artists from the States.
