Anita O'Day recorded for Verve at the peak of her career singing the cream of the American Songbook in her own emotive style. She regarded herself to be a musician rather than a singer laying her performances with a raw and passionate realism. Celebrating the life of one of the great jazz divas, Jo Harrop will bring Anita's passion and synergy with these great songs to life backed by the great Denmark Street Big Band who will be playing these classics from the original Billy May, Buddy Bregman & Marty Paich charts.
